Biography

Dr. László Ágai provides legal advice in the fields of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and IT law. He also focuses on international trade contracts (sales, distribution, franchise, freight forwarding, transportation), transactions involving conflict of laws, mediation, competition law and economic criminal law.

He started his legal career in France where he has been living for thirteen years. He worked for 3 years in Paris as a legal counsel, then for 10 years in Budapest with international law firms (Linklaters, Gide Loyrette Nouel). During this period, he represented many foreign, primarily French big companies in various segments of the economy (food industry, building industry, public utilities, event and exhibition management, information technology) and assisted them in their investment projects in Hungary. Thanks to the 98/5/EC Directive of the European Union on „freedom of movement of attorneys”, he also represents LegalAgain clients before French jurisdictions.

László has two law degrees, from the Paris-I Panthéon-Sorbonne and the Budapest Loránd Eötvös Universities. He is the coordinating partner of the LegalAgain international network offices. He is a member of the Budapest Bar Association. He fluently speaks English, French and Hungarian.

In his free time, Laszlo enjoys playing squash, travelling and geocaching with his family and listening to electronic music (he is a hardcore Depeche Mode fan). He has passion for all sort of computer-related gadgets and is also a classic arcade games and pinball player.
